Spanish recipe : Catalan Snails
French are not the only ones to eat snails, Spanish are also fond of it!
This recipe of snails come straight from Catalonia! It was during our stay at Gilma, Gualberto and Joan house in the town of Oropesa del Mar that we could enjoy the “Caracoles en Catalan”, a true delight!
Ride The Flavour bases its itinerary on Michelin maps
We are writing these ligns in front of the Spain/Portugal Michelin map…
Compass and maps, this is all what we have to follow our route map during this world tour. We already had the compass. And to help us to set up and find our way, our partner Michelin Guides et Cartes gave us the road maps of all the countries which we shall cross.
Michelin Guides et Cartes marketed its first road maps in 1908, today their maps are known and recognized for their precision and their accuracy. Their wide range of map of France and the countries of the world, Michelin Guides et Cartes will help us never to lose our route.
Huge thanks to Michelin Guides et Cartes for following and supporting the adventure Ride The Flavour!
Ride the Flavour team started out its world tour!
Monday, July 1st, 2013. The alarm clock first sounded like an assault… The last preparations had substantially shortened our night, so that we were still a little bit weary when we woke up. At 9 am, everything was ready: bikes were set to the millimeter and all of belongings were packed in our bike bags. We left Léo’s house and started riding towards the official place of our departure: the Capitol Square, in the center of Toulouse. We knew that each pedal stroke brought us closer to the launch of our adventure. Little by little, the excitement was rising. We entered Toulouse and speeded up. And all of a sudden, the Capitol was in front of us…
Our meeting with Pierre Cohen, the mayor of Toulouse
Futuroscope Theme Park will travel with Ride the Flavour!
On Friday, June 28th, the sun was entirely hidden by a thick coat of grey clouds. The Futuroscope Theme Park was nevertheless radiant. It was the theater of a beautiful gathering organized by Philippe Jonvel, in charge of external relations for the Futuroscope. Noël Gutrin and Frédéric Monzo, head chefs in Futuroscope restaurants, were the on-the-spot first ones. Then came the Futuroscope women’s professional cycling team. Finally, several agents of the park joined us, riding skillfully their Veloscoot electric bike.
Why had all these people arranged to meet ? We all were here to celebrate our partnership, the partnership between Ride the Flavour and the Futuroscope theme park!
What is this partnership about? The details are following… Just “read more”!

Ride the Flavour and Cookening, a recipe which works!
Cookening is a quite recent platform which was created to satisfy both travelers in search of authentic culinary experiences and local people wishing to share and bring their culture alive. Cookening makes the link between these travelers and local people by giving them the opportunity to meet around a meal.
Meeting, sharing, and intercultural exchanges are the magic words of these experiences… Such common points created an obvious link between Ride the Flavour and Cookening… And here we are : we are partners!
Welcome to the Cookening team (from left to right: Sébastien, Julien and Cédric) and community!
